《寂静之声》和《斯卡波罗集市》，是电影毕业生的插曲，一个在片头，一个在片尾。前一首1966年同名单曲获美国排行榜冠军；后一首1969年获奥斯卡最佳电影插曲奖。两首歌的风格差不多，都是那种经典的怀旧情怀。

《Scarborough fair》

“Scarborough Fair”，直译为“斯卡保罗集市”，是由保罗•西蒙（Paul Simon）和阿特•加芬克尔（Art Garfunkel）创作并最早演唱的，主唱是保罗•西蒙，合音是加丰科。

这首歌的来历：Scarborough Fair原是一首古老的苏格兰民间谜歌（riddle song），所谓“riddle song”是指那些民间流传广泛，但是不知道作者是谁的歌曲，而且由于人们的相互传唱，本来的曲调已经改变了很多。后来英国民歌手马汀·卡西（Martin Carthy）在原歌的基础上加进了自己的再创造（尤其是里面那优美的吉它伴奏），把它变成了一首非常优美的爱情歌曲。保罗曾于64－65年期间在英国度假，并经常出没于英国民谣圈演唱，学会这首歌后，重新谱写了词曲。

Scarborough Fair这首歌第一次为我们所知应该是作为美国电影《毕业生》（The Graduate）的插曲出现的。这部电影是当时美国大学生很喜欢的电影，这首歌曲和那首The Sound of Silence（寂静之声）也都是颇受欢迎的。其实，西蒙和加芬克尔的唱片专辑“Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme”是在1966年底问世的。电影《毕业生》是1967年上映的，吸纳了其中两首作为插曲。

西蒙（Paul Simon）是美国歌坛上的一个奇迹，常被冠以作曲家、歌唱家和吉它手的美誉，实际上再加上诗人也不过分。他的个人演唱以及和加芬克尔（Art Garfunkel）的重唱作品几乎都是出自他的手中。他的歌词首首都是优美的诗歌，他的歌曲旋律优美迷人。西蒙和加芬克尔六十年代后期开始风靡多年的重唱可说是流行音乐史上的最佳重唱，西蒙的嗓音松弛自然，加芬克尔音色轻高洁，两人的和声如诗如梦一般丰富多彩，令人回味无穷。

专辑《La Voix des Anges - Dominica》
Dominica，来自北美最清新的夜之叹息，混凝着即将形成朝露的冷空气，洁净不沾一丝尘土，以及至美声吟唱人间故事，从这首“The Sound of Silence - 寂静之声”Dominica的歌声为世界带来梦境之外最真实的乐音。

Dominica出生于加拿大，五岁便开始学习声乐和钢琴，她的母亲亦为歌者，因此她从小就在音乐环境中耳沐目染。Dominica很早就展露自己在诗与音乐上的才华，十四岁时便得到诗作的大奖，尔后进入艺术学院戏剧系就读。现在这位情感丰富而才华满溢的美声女诗人，吟唱出融合新世纪与反扑古典风格的“The Sound of Silence - 寂静之声”。
